Kyle Metzner is an Educator, Storyteller, and Head of the Work program at East Bay School for Boys where he runs the 21st Century workshop. The Work program develops empathy, stewardship, civic engagement, social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and design/ build skills through projects that challenge students to problem-solve in social, creative, and building contexts. Kyle presents workshops around interdisciplinary integration at conferences around the country and always positions storytelling as his most useful tool. Prior to EBSB, Kyle spent 17 years in the field of design and fabrication, concentrating in the areas of architectural design, furniture design, art fabrication, and aerospace manufacturing. His work has appeared in Dwell, Architectural Digest, Metropolitan Home, and in the landing gear of the space shuttle Endeavor.
